More like an evening at Niagara, but what a memorable evening!
First of all Niagara City is a tourist trap: casinos, expensive eateries- the whole sha-bang. But Niagara Park… This place should be on everyone’s bucket list to visit. Yes it is a drive to get up there, but guys- The falls are spectacular! And well live up to their reputations.
If you do go (and you totally should) the boat ride is a must. It’s a bit pricey however keep in mind you not only get tickets for the ferry ride out under both falls (even the Horse Shoe- I would have loved to have seen the view from the Canadian side as well, yet since the boat takes you under both it isn’t absolutely necessary) but also access to the observation deck, the trail to the base of the American falls and access to the Whispering Cave. Which unfortunately I wasn’t able to see.
In the end I would have loved to have had more time to explore, but that just means I’ll have to go back. Doesn’t it?
